Last night, my bike got stolen… yes, my road bike that I just got in March, stolen.
It was locked up in my parking spot in my bike rack of my condo, on P5 underground, under surveillance cameras. The perpetrator got into our underground parking and was “shopping” for a bike. I guess mine was big winner.
I’ve gone through a lot of emotions today from anger, frustration, sadness and to forgiveness. It’s been a rough one. I got this bike to get healthy and participate in the Becel Ride for Heart 75km ride. That ride is this coming sunday! like SERIOUSLY?
I just can’t believe the boldness of the trespassing, and also, the lack of “security” my security really performed in my condo. What a violation of personal space! The thief even took my helmet and gloves with the bike, just to be safe on the ride to where ever they were going.
I am glad that the only things I lost were things that can “physically” be replaced. If it was something that couldn’t be, like my dog, I’d be absolutely devastated.
This was the last photo I took of my bike about 2 weeks back, and even though I’ve made some minor changes since then, its the best I’ve got.
If you happen to see this on the road, or even parts of this bike out there, please contact the Police. Its been reported as a theft already and it is registered with Metro Toronto Police services.
